About Iqra

Hi! I'm Iqra, and I'm passionate about helping students become confident writers and communicators. I believe that everyone can improve their English and writing skills with the right guidance, encouragement, and practice.

As a current graduate student at **Johns Hopkins University** studying Public Health, I've spent years writing research papers, academic essays, and personal statements. I also have experience tutoring and editing writing, helping students strengthen their grammar, sentence structure, organization, and overall clarity while preserving their unique voice.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive. I don't just fix mistakes. I explain them so you understand the reasoning and can apply those skills to future assignments. About the lesson

Writing has been a big part of both my academic and professional experience, and I enjoy helping students become more confident in their own work. As a student accepted to the Master of Public Health program at **Johns Hopkins University**, after also receiving admissions offers from **Columbia** and **Dartmouth**, I understand what strong academic writing looks like and what it takes to stand out in competitive applications.

I have experience tutoring and providing writing support to students from diverse backgrounds, helping them improve essays, research papers, personal statements, and class assignments. Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I explain why changes are needed so students can strengthen their grammar, organization, vocabulary, and writing style over time.

My lessons are patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's goals. Whether you're learning English, preparing for an exam, writing a college essay, or polishing a research paper, I'll help you communicate your ideas clearly while keeping your own voice. My goal is for every student to leave each session feeling more confident and equipped to tackle future writing independently.
