About Rachana
I graduated with an 8.87 GPA in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Engineering, and I am now pursuing my Master of Data Science at Monash University : so Math is genuinely something I live and breathe, not just something I studied once. Throughout school and university I naturally became the person my peers came to when they were stuck, and I found that I actually enjoyed breaking things down and finding the explanation that finally made it click for someone. I teach Primary and Year 7–10 students using a step-by-step approach that focuses on building real understanding rather than just memorising formulas — because once a student genuinely gets the logic behind something, the confidence follows. My engineering background means I can connect maths to how it works in the real world, which tends to make abstract concepts feel a lot less scary for younger learners.

Keeping it SIMPLE and PRECISE
Every session starts with a quick check-in to see where the student is and what they are finding difficult that week : no assumptions, no rushing straight into content. From there we work through concepts step by step, using examples that are simple and relatable before building up to harder problems. I keep lessons structured but relaxed, because kids learn better when they do not feel pressured. A typical session runs 45 to 60 minutes and covers one or two focused topics rather than trying to cram everything in at once. By the end of each lesson, students leave with a clear understanding of what was covered and, more importantly, the confidence to attempt similar problems on their own.
