About OAF
Hello,
This is Simi from OAF Academy, I'd be happy to help with your tutoring request. I provide tutoring services for kindergarten through 8th Grade students in math,English,art and science. I'm verse in a variety of different curriculums ranging from ; common core, Singapore math,Cambridge(British),Ny common core and so much more! I have been tutoring for 3+ years.I've worked as a tutor at Varsity Tutors, Club Z tutoring, as well as camps(academic and co-curricular). Asides from my academic qualifications and tutoring experience, I understand that students have different learning styles. I once struggled with Math in elementary and felt like simple information was made complicated. I started OAF Academy to provide accessible and affordable tutoring services across the nation. This has been effective and convenient for both parents and students, while doing this I’ve been able to keep to my mission/goal “Instilling confidence one lesson at a time” I use real life examples, and break down concepts in the simplest way possible.
My services are provided remote/online only with an interactive white board.Students are able to upload their pdf or homework on the whiteboard and we are able to write on it together. All notes are exported and saved in the students portal. Students are able to access notes from previous sessions at any time. Sessions are very hands on despite being remote. I use new technology that allows both students and tutors to collaborate in a fun and effective way. I also provide free homework help outside of tutoring sessions. Students can send me a message on the portal, and I'll reply with either a video or annotated doc explaining the concept/subject. All new students get a free initial session, free assessment, a customized learning plan and a free 1 hour tutoring credit upon registration. How do our virtual sessions work ?
Our virtual sessions are very effective. We use interactive whiteboards for individual and small group sessions. Students and tutors are able to upload pdfs or images to the whiteboard, and they can be edited. All notes can be exported right after the session. They are uploaded in the student's portfolio/files on our portal. Students are able to go back and review notes from previous sessions.
