As a teacher I feel it's really important to connect what I teach to real and meaningful examples so as to engage the student's minds and make the subject fascinating. A light environment according to me is necessary to encourage curiosity within students. I ask questions to my students to engage them, I encourage the students to summarize the topics themselves. Usually I go through hours of preparation myself before delivering a lecture. I usually start my lectures with a quick recap of the previous lecture by questioning the students about what we've already learned. I explain a topic through examples. After a brief overview I take a lot of examples to explain the topic. Finally I summarize everything we've learned. I'm patient and attentive to each and every student, I encourage a scientific temperament in my class and believe in teaching through projects rather than theory. I primarily teach elementary or high school students although I'm comfortable with lower classes.
