Hello, I’m Dev, an experienced biotechnology professional with over 7 years of industry experience and a Master of Science degree from McGill University.
I have experience training professionals and teaching complex ideas by breaking them down into clear, understandable steps. I have always been passionate about mathematics because, to me, it involves different types of problem-solving—almost like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
I am incredibly patient and communicative, and I will explain and re-explain concepts in a way that suits your individual learning style. My goal is to help you feel comfortable with mathematics, understand the concepts clearly, and build your confidence along the way.

My approach to teaching is personalized to each student. Everyone learns at a different pace and in a different way. I will help you "Understand the Math" first, at your own pace, and then follow up with examples and quizzes. We will build up confidence first and then tackle the math together :)
My lessons are for students in Grades 7–10, whether you need help with the curriculum or with specific concepts.
A typical lesson might look like (Although the pace will be adjusted to your needs) :
1. Background review (5-10 min)
2. Introduction of Concept and breakdown (10-20 min)
3. Working through examples together (10 min)
4. Independent Math solving (10-15 min)
5. Recap and optional Homework :)
I believe there are no “bad” students—sometimes you simply need an explanation that works for you. Math does not have to be scary. Let’s break down those mathematical puzzles together while building your confidence and having fun!
