About Colin

Hi! I’m Kuilin (Colin), a native Mandarin speaker currently doing Master of Teaching in Monash University. I’m passionate about helping others discover the beauty, depth, and practicality of the Chinese language, both in everyday communication and through Chinese culture. I hold a national Mandarin proficiency certificate and have over seven years of formal training in Chinese calligraphy. I’ve also worked as a host for various events, which helped me develop strong communication and presentation skills that I now bring into my teaching. I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in confidence as they learn to express themselves in a new language. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to polish your fluency, I’m here to make your learning journey enjoyable, effective, and tailored to your needs.
Also, because I’m doing Master of Teaching in Secondary Education, I can provide some tutorials in Digital Technologies and Media Studies as well.
