About Anusha

I started learning English from a very young age. I am originally from Tajikistan but was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to pursue my education overseas since kindergarten. Over the years, I've lived in 6+ countries and I absolutely love learning about new cultures, exploring delicious food and falling in love with humble, passionate people.

I speak, read and write in 5+ languages (English, Arabic, Tajik, Farsi, Russian, German). I've always loved learning new languages myself and believe it is so important for communication, building connections and understanding other humans. I love music, which I believe is one of the best universal languages in the world.

I am a person who's always hungry to learn new skills and challenge myself outside my comfort zone. Career-wise, I pursued dentistry in my Bachelors and am currently completing my dissertation for my Masters program in Public Health. On top of that, I jumped into entrepreneurship 5 years ago and am currently co-founder of 4 startups and small businesses. I am very passionate about social entrepreneurship and hope to merge my learnings from all these different walks of life into meaningful projects.

I love watching documentaries, filling up Sudoku puzzles and cross-stitching. I'm quite tech-savvy and also love learning about new tools.

About the lesson

Hi there! I've been tutoring English lessons to kids from 8-12 years old all the way up to teens and adults in their 30s for 6 years now.

I like to get to know my students really well and tailor my teaching style and material based on your strengths and weaknesses. As a tutor, I've been described by my previous students as patient, clear, relaxed and flexible. I believe that any learning experience should be comfortable, supportive and a little bit fun!

I am an accredited TESL/TEFOL tutor and have myself scored an 8.5 in my IELTS exam (Academic).

My lesson are typically 40 minutes long and my rates start from RM40/hour. I like to prepare a variety of materials for my students. My lessons generally are structured based on my students' needs and primary goal. I prepare a variety of reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing and speaking exercises - based on my students' needs.
