About Chantel

I am a qualified English teacher and I have been teaching English for five years. I specialise in teaching English as a second language (ESL) but I also teach native English speakers. I have taught hundreds of students from all different nationalities and backgrounds from the age of 3 to 65 including British, Spanish, Romanian, Polish, Chinese, Ukrainian and Nepalese to name a few.
I have helped my students achieve their individual goals such as passing their GCSEs, A-Levels, IELTS exams, Functional Skills exams and Citizenship tests, helping to write dissertations and theses improving their grammar, building confidence in speaking English, delivering a presentation, working on pronunciation, improving their writing skills and writing a CV.
Many of my students have excelled their expected results and I have a 100% pass rate with students I have mentored for exams. I’d like to describe myself as a friendly, patient, fun and enthusiastic teacher that can help you not only build up your confidence in English, but also gain the skills you need to achieve your goal!

About the lesson

I am a motivated person that thrives on helping others succeed! My students are of all different ages, nationalities and abilities. Students I currently teach and have taught in the past range from young children learning how to say their first words in English to adults who want to brush up on their creative writing skills. I am experienced in teaching Primary School children, GCSEs, A-Levels, Bachelor's and Master’s, Business English, IELTS, Functional Skills, English grammar, English conversational skills, writing, Creative Writing, CV writing, pronunciation and delivering a speech or presentation. (Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to learn and I would be happy to assist.)
Depending on which topic you pick, the lesson will be structured in a way that allows you to learn the skills and then put them into practice. A lesson is boring if you just have to sit there and listen to the teacher all of the time! I always make my lessons as engaging as possible so that you are also having fun while you are learning. I believe that every person has the ability to achieve anything that they put their mind to, with a little help, motivation and encouragement.

My lesson rate is £25 an hour, which is considered to be quite low for a qualified teacher! The reason I do not charge any less than this, is because I put a lot of effort and time into preparing your lesson - and it often takes longer than teaching the lesson itself - to make sure you are getting the very best tuition to suit your individual needs.
