About Michael

I have been teaching English for over 15 years. I offer effective, student-focused and custom-tailored lessons that will suit your needs: it could be that you would like to pass a standardized exam (IELTS or CELPIP) or that you would like to improve your business English. In either situation, I will help you to achieve your goals. Having an academic background in languages and international studies, I can empathize with you and help you find the most effective course of study.

About the lesson

If your goal is, mainly, to improve your speaking, I would like to spend some time with you, the student (one meeting) assessing and discussing your needs. Then, after we have come to an agreement on the proposed aims and outcomes, you begin your studies with me. I have discovered that the most effective way to help prepare my students to achieve their goals is through having energetic speaking exercises (on a topic of your interest). With me focusing on your particular difficulties, you can quickly improve your errors and increase your vocabulary. If you are searching for assistance with your writing, you have come to the WRITE place! :-) As an experienced, published writer and editor, I can help you to polish your everyday writing and/or written assignments. If you are publishing your work, I can ensure that it is ready for publication by expertly proofreading and editing your paper. I'm an internationally-published author (I work part-time for a business magazine based in Europe) and I would be happy to lend you my skills in this area if needed.

Perfect! Michael taught English to my 13-year old daughter over the last couple of months.
Michael is truly an amazing teacher. He made every lesson very interactive and a lot of fun. He always prepares his lessons very well and tailors the learning content to the needs and interests of his students - using a large variety of books, magazine articles, etc..
My daughter had a great time (even with her homework :)) and made a lot of progress in her language proficiency.
We can only recommend Michael - it was a pleasure to have him around!!!
