About Mara
Hi! I understand exactly how it feels to learn a new language. Through my experiences traveling and studying a new language, I've learned that the best way to learn is through real connection, not just memorizing rules from a book. I love being a supportive voice for my students because I know that making mistakes is just part of the process. In our lessons, we will focus on the kind of English you actually need for daily life, like chatting at a cafe or traveling to a new city. I am a big fan of hiking, journaling, and horror movies, so I am always down to chat about our hobbies while we work on your vocabulary and pronunciation. As a foreign language major, I have been in your shoes and understand the hurdles of learning a new language. What sets me apart is my personal experience; I spent two years studying in South Korea and have also visited Japan and Thailand. Having navigated these different cultures, I can offer genuine empathy and support to my students. Whether you want to improve your fluency or just practice natural speaking, I provide a supportive and engaging environment.
