As an experienced high school math teacher, I understand that every student learns differently. My tutoring approach focuses on helping students understand math rather than simply memorizing steps. As a high school math teacher, I have experience identifying learning gaps, explaining challenging concepts in different ways, and helping students build confidence in their abilities. I break problems down into manageable steps and encourage students to show their work, ask questions, and explain their reasoning.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous skills and identifying areas where the student needs support. We then work through examples together, practice problems with guidance, and gradually move toward independent practice. I adjust each lesson to the student's pace, learning style, and goals.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience and my ability to make difficult math concepts easier to understand. I understand that students learn differently, and I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping each student succeed. My goal is to help students become more independent and confident problem solvers.
I offer tutoring for students at different grade levels, from elementary and middle school through high school. I can help with foundational math skills, prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and general math support. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for a test, completing assignments, or strengthening their understanding, I tailor lessons to meet their individual needs.
