About Andre
A little introduction of myself: I’m from beautiful South Africa—a country full of diverse cultures and languages—which is why I’m so passionate about teaching English. Prior to retiring, I worked as a safety coach and mentor on oil and gas rigs around the world and have a TEFL qualification. Delivering dynamic, effective and engaging sessions with workers from different nationalities helped offshore oil and gas personnel learn English so they can operate safer and more effectively was one of my many responsibilities. For our crew to function confidently under any circumstance, I taught them English industry-specific terminology, day to day communication, and everyday rig interactions. Seeing my students have "aha!" moments, simplifying difficult concepts, and assisting them in developing their abilities are the things I like most about teaching English. In addition, I have experience in coaching and mentoring firefighters to become proficient and self-assured firefighters.
