About Isla
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BSc in Theoretical Physics. I have a passion for exploring the physics of sound and music. In my lessons, I use audio experiments and wave visualisations to explain acoustics in a clear and engaging way. I enjoy teaching concepts like sound production, resonance, musical scales, and instrument design. My strength lies in connecting physics principles to the art of sound, showing students how theory translates into the music they love. I guide learners through hands-on experiments that make complex ideas tangible and exciting. By exploring vibrations, harmonics, and resonance, students see the science behind each note and melody. I make lessons interactive, combining theory with practical demonstrations. Through this approach, students gain both understanding and appreciation for the physics behind music.
