About Claudia

Hi there! I'm a qualified primary school teacher with four years of experience working with children aged 5 to 11. I absolutely love what I do – teaching has always felt more like a passion than just a job. I decided to become a tutor because I know how much of a difference it can make when a child gets a bit of extra support and someone who truly listens. Every child learns in their own way, and I enjoy helping them find what works best for them. Whether they need help with reading, maths, SATs prep, or just a boost in confidence, I’m here to guide them step by step. My lessons are calm, encouraging, and tailored to the individual child. I aim to create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating progress – no matter how big or small. About the lesson

As a qualified primary school teacher with four years of classroom experience, my approach to tutoring is calm, supportive, and tailored to each child’s individual learning style. I believe that building confidence is just as important as academic progress, so I create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I use a variety of teaching techniques, including visual aids, games, real-life examples, and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging and meaningful. Whether it's supporting with reading, writing, maths, or general homework help, I break down tasks into manageable steps and use positive reinforcement to motivate learners. My lessons typically last 1 hour, depending on the age and focus area of the student. I always plan lessons with clear learning objectives and build in time for practice, discussion, and review to ensure deep understanding. I have experience working with children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (ages 5–11) and am confident in delivering lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum. I also support children preparing for SATs, catching up after gaps in learning, or simply building core skills. Whether your child needs academic support, a confidence boost, or extra enrichment, I’m here to help them succeed and enjoy learning!
