About Amy

I have six years of experience teaching children aged 5 to 9 years old, and I am highly competent in delivering the British KS1 and KS2 curriculum. While teaching in Dubai, I held the position of Year 4 Lead, where I gained extensive experience in curriculum planning, assessment, and managing a team of teachers. My teaching approach is entirely student-focused, tailored to how each individual perceives and processes knowledge. That’s why our first free session will focus on understanding your learning style, strengths, and challenges, helping us create a personalised learning plan suited to your pace, interests, and prior knowledge. About the lesson

I have been teaching for six years in KS1 and KS2, and I am passionate about helping children develop strong English skills through engaging and effective teaching methods. I am highly competent in teaching Writing, Reading, and SPaG and can provide tailored support to meet your child's specific needs. I believe that every child can succeed with the right tools and guidance. In our sessions, I use highly interactive and structured techniques, including guided practice, targeted skill development, and engaging activities, to build confidence and fluency. A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity, skill-focused learning, guided practice, and interactive discussions to ensure deep understanding. What sets me apart is my strong motivation, deep passion for teaching, and ability to tailor my approach to diverse learning needs. With experience in an outstanding UK school and a private school in Dubai, I bring a global perspective on education, enabling me to adapt my teaching to support students from various backgrounds effectively. My lessons are designed for KS1 and KS2 students, with a strong focus on Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4), supporting children in developing essential literacy skills in a fun, structured, and encouraging environment.
