About Chris
I have been teaching for 20 years. I am a nationally renowned expert in mathematics education - speaking at all major maths education conferences in Scotland and many others across the UK.
I am also a teacher trainer, working across the whole of Scotland. I have excellent knowledge of all qualifications and have experience as an SQA examiner at various levels. I have particular expertise in teaching Advanced Higher, Higher and National 5.
I am an enthusiastic teacher who has had excellent results from both my class teaching and from tutoring students on a one-to-one basis.
I have a BSc (Hons) in Maths and Computing Science from the University of Glasgow.

I like to put the student at ease with a friendly, approachable, although business-like manner. I like to match my teaching with the specific needs of the student. I provide lots of past and sample exam papers, worksheets, resources and various PowerPoints for the student to study in his/her own time between sessions.
I am a published author on task design and pedagogy in mathematics education and use this and my 20 years of experience to help my students overcome every challenge.
