About Suma R
I am a teacher with 15 years experience in teaching children from the age of 6 to 12. I have taught children all the primary school subjects but my speciality is English writing, reading, Maths and Art. I love teaching students who are willing to give it a go, not give up and learn from mistakes.

Once I make the initial assessment I see where the gaps are in the student’s ability. I discuss with the student the things they enjoy learning, what they are good at and what they find challenging. I start the first few lessons with a slow pace and assess them as the lesson proceeds. I give feedback when necessary in the lesson and always at the end. In every lesson my students show progression. I set homework tasks and give them lots of verbal praise for their efforts and achievements.
