About James
I am an Ivy-League college graduate, a former business analyst, and a prospective medical student who has years of exam-taking experience from standardized tests (i.e. SAT. ACT, and MCAT) all the way to math and science courses of varying levels (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, Physics). I know how to score well on exams with less studying because I have acquired the most effective study strategy through trial-and-error process myself. Whether you are looking for extra review sessions, need clarification of difficult conecpts, or need more effective study strategies, I have the tools and experience to help you.
I enjoy the process of breaking down difficult concepts into simpler terms so the student can understand them. I also enjoy seeing the students improve over time through my teachings. I want the students to not only learn the material to do better for the next assignment or exam, but acquire practical study skills to be solve problems independently and be able to self-assess their own progress.

I will first assess their needs. Some students may be struggling with concepts and need clarification in simpler terms using analogies. Others may need effective study strategies to ingrain concepts and details to be able to recall them on test day. Everyone's needs are different and I cater to them as much as possible. But in general, my tutoring style utilizes questions to identify areas of weakness so students can improve those areas to score higher on exams.
