About Michael
From the fundamental concepts to practical applications, I have a comprehensive understanding of everything a student needs to know for their studies in biology +labs (including molecular, genetic, and evolutionary), chemistry +labs, epidemiology, and statistics/biostatistics.
I also have a wealth of experience writing exceptional papers for both science and non-science courses, as well as resumé writing.

I developed a passion for the life sciences when I was a child, spending endless hours outdoors every day and learning as much as I could about biology in my spare time. My grandfather was a research chemist who helped develop the rocket fuel for the Apollo mission. He helped instill in me a fascination with chemistry. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and understanding of these wonderful subjects with others.
My tutoring experience began in high school, where I took AP science and writing courses and tutored students of varying aptitudes. I also tutored middle school students interested in advanced science topics as part of a STEM program.
I received a B.S. in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine (widely considered a Bio “weeder” school), and I received a M.S. in Epidemiology from Columbia University.
