About Linda
As a classically trained chef from the famous Culinary Institute of America, I have apprenticed in Italy, taught at the CIA and have been a culinary educator for individuals, groups, parties and events for over 25 years. My easy-approach, hands-on techniques keep you engaged in learning with lots of fun with delicious results! '
One of my favorite clients was a man who was recently widowed and he and his children hired me to teach intensive weekend courses that helped them to grow and greive together learning how to cook their family's favorite meals. It was a beautiful experience.
I love seeing how creative people become combining flavors and spices once a solid foundation of techniques are under your belt. Inspiration can come from surprising places! I love watching you grow and share your new skills with others.
Cooking brings people together. It is fun and a great way to nurture ourselves and loved ones!
I used to pretend to have a cooking show when I was a young girl learning how to cook from my Chef Grandfather! I love teaching and am driven by watching people succeed!
After graduation from the CIA in Hyde Park, NY I apprenticed in Merano, Italy at the prestigeous Villa Mozart and then returned to the CIA to teach in the American Bounty dining room before heading west to Seattle. In my professional career I was a corporate trainer for Starbuck's Co and a cooking instructor for Whole Foods Market and Lifestyle consultant! I have been a personal chef for private individuals since 2010 and I am thrilled to have jsut arrived in Santa Fe, New Mexico!

I like to start where you are after a conversation about your skills and interests and what your personal culinary goals are and what we can do to get you there! I share my favorite recipes and techniques to help you gain the confidence you need to cook like a pro!
Many of my clients want to improve their diets and are looking for inspiration to stay on their dietary paths be it Vegetarian, Vegan, Paleo, Keto, Juicing or eating for personal health and wellbeing.
Make sure you feel comfortable and supported and that you can learn from the person you are interviewing. If the prospective Teacher reminds you negatively of someone you knew in your past...keep looking! You need to feel supported and connected to the right person where you feel safe to ask questions. Find someone you like and want to hang-out with for a couple of hours!
I have taken the last year and a half off traveling around the EU, UK and USA eating the most amazing foods...I would love to share stories of my travels with you!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Understand what you are looking for...someone to help you to learn knife skills? Or do you want to learn how to bake? Have an idea of what you want to learn and then let the questions be centered around that...especially if you want to change diets from standard American Diet to a more healthful diet such as Vegetarianism or Paleo!
