About Julie

I teach the fundamental skills such as value, composition and hue. Drawing from life and using aids to improve drawing skills. I'm currently teaching watercolor, acrylic, drawing and pottery classes in my home. Class sizes are limited to 6 students at a time for the utmost personal attention.

Students will learn the vocabulary of art or jewelry and each student’s instruction will be geared toward his/her own skill level and interests.

Students will have the opportunity to finish works to completion over a series of weeks.

Students can begin their learning process with provided materials but will grow to require their own materials.

Teaching art is my favorite way to earn a living. I love seeing the students improve right before my eyes and see how happy they are with their accomplishments.

ABOUT SILVERSMYTH For over 10 years Julie Silversmyth has been creating custom sterling silver jewelry. Julie has taught Drawing, Painting and Jewelry making for Aledo ISD Imagination Celebration Program and Soldering at a Fort Worth bead supplier.

Silversmyth Minored in Fine Art at Saint Francis College with additional coursework at UNM school of Art, studied independently with Gail Harper, Lou Maestas of Art Master’s Academy and with Janis Bryant at Janis Bryant Art Center of Fort Worth.

In the first class I like to see past artwork or have the student draw something from life just to gauge what level they are and how I can help them.
