About Amy

Art is all about creating and sharing stories. Everyone has a story to tell and a unique way in which to share it. I love helping people find their way of sharing their story and develop new skills to help discover even more stories!

Maybe you’re looking to try something new, or need a little push with a skill you already have. I would love to help you on your journey!

I’ve been involved with the arts my entire life. From the performing arts to the visual arts, it’s in my blood! I believe in the power of creativity and sharing that power with others.

I first got into teaching with the performing arts. I taught Dance and Musical Theater for a decade. As I shifted focus to concentrate strictly on Visual Arts, I was asked by several people at art shows if I gave lessons. A little advice here and there turned into a passion for sharing my love of art with others.

Along with decades of being a working artist, I also have an Associate’s Degree in Computer Animation. I also have several semesters of Fine Art training.

About the lesson

I like to have an initial consultation with my student (normally via email) to find out what they are looking to achieve with the lessons. Communication is key! The more I know what the student needs the better I can tailor the lessons to them.

I have worked with students from the age of 2 all the way to senior adults!

Communication is incredibly important to a successful student/ teacher relationship. Let the teacher know exactly what it is you’re looking to gain from the lessons.
