About Anne

I have been teaching art to grades PreK-12th since 1999. I have and Art Degree and a Master's in Art Education. Currently, I teach full time at a private high school in Mobile, AL: drawing, painting, mixed-media, and pottery. Private lessons or group lessons are availlable year round in late afternoons and evenings. I am available for Zoom meetings and video- phone calls. Soon, I will have a private studio to teach face-to-face to individuals or small groups.

I have a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a Master's in Art Education.

About the lesson

Depending on what the student is interested in, wants to learn, or has had experience with - that's what I start finding out. I design the art lessons around those 3 things. The first lesson would be an exploration of the medium they are primarily interested in so I can get to see how the student works. We would cover basics and quickly find a new skill or level to practice.

All ages (Kindergarten thru Golden Years), but mostly teenagers. I have worked with students who need special accomodations. I have worked with home schoolers who needed an art credit.

Whenever you start something new, give that coach or teacher at least 3 chances. Ask them lots of questions. Find out what all they have to offer you and what you can expect to learn. After you've taken 3 lessons, you will know if it's a good fit for you.

Because of the pandemic, I have learned how to teach virtually using a couple of platforms. I love using the Zoom app to work with students when we can't meet face to face.
