About Aaliyah

Professional artist with Bachelor of Arts from Central State University. My service is for all art levels. My specialty is acrylic art because it is so forgiving however, I do teach mixed media. I ask questions of my students about their life and how they would like to corporate that in their art. I teach and well as learn from my students. FUN is the major goal of my service. Everyone will come away with a since of accomplishment, a fine piece of art and memories that they will be proud to show off for years to come.

I’m an figurative artist and teacher. I’ve been teaching art for over 10 years now. My goal is to enhance the students knowledge and skills in the art of drawing and painting.

I ask questions of my students to see what they what they want to achieve in their creative journey.

I always make sure they understand the basics of art and how it makes for good art.

I enjoy interacting with people and seeing them accomplish in art what they didn't realize they could do. Teaching new techniques in art and helping the student reach a creative goal is my goal.

I started teaching my children at an early age into adulthood. Once I moved to Easton, PA four years ago I opened a studio and built up my own gallery of art then started building my space to take in students soon after.

I have a bachelor of arts from Central State University in Ohio. The majority of my training is self-taught because life teaches us the best lessons.

About the lesson

I teach based on what the student wants to accomplish. I then tell them what I would like to see them do based on their answer. I go over the basics of art to include the elements of art as a foundation. As the class progresses I often point out these elements and show them how they have included them in their work.

I mostly work with elementry and high school students.

I would advise a student looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise to come with a since of joy of learning and expectancy of fun.

I recently did a demonstration at the Forks Area Art Society. I enjoyed it because I love showing my artwork and telling how I developed it. I always indude some life experience that is funny and people can relate to.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should think through what they want to learn and accomplish. They should know what type of art they want to do and be open to learn something new. The student should expect to teach the techer something as well.

Details

My standard is $30 for a two hour session. Each lesson includes the use of paint and brushes. The student supplies the canvas.
