About Amy

I'm a certified teacher in NYC with art experience in all areas. I worked at different museums, in their educational departments for 12 years.

I love it. Art is my passion, in and out of the school building.

I've been teaching elementary school for the past 25 years. Art is my passion, I love to do my art professionally and as an individual.

I am a New York City Board of Education art teacher that has been working in and out of the school system and the museums in Manhattan for the past 12 years.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my students abilities and then start simple and build up skills. Step by step is key.

Throughout the years I have tutored from nursery to adults. I'm a teacher at heart and I can work with almost any age group.

If you're willing to work with the teacher and they are willing to teach you. Be open minded. Art is the best way to express yourself and your skills will develop as much as you practice.

Recently I have been interested in photography and I'm working on a patriotic installation.

Most of my prices will be based on a standard fee and then I will add on travel expenses. I bring my own materials and that is all included in the actual price, once we figure out what is a fair fee.
