About Weiyang
I work as a freelance painter, holding a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in painting and drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in painting from Boston University. My foundation lies in classical techniques, equipping me with the ability to effectively instruct in various artistic styles, which encompass Renaissance, Impressionism, Realism, French Academy, Abstract, and more.
In my role as an art teacher, I prioritize getting to know my students on a personal level before addressing their specific needs. For me, learning the art of painting transcends acquiring a new skill; it's also a journey of self-discovery. My approach involves not only imparting painting skills but also revealing the profound personal growth that can arise from the artistic process.
