About Angela

Angela's mantra is "observe, collect and learn."

Angela earned her BFA in illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and she specializes in visual storytelling. A lover of travel, she has filled hundreds of pages with sketches and paintings of urban and rural scenery using a wide variety of techniques. Through consistent drawing and sketching, Angela developed the unique style and is able to create artwork spanning a wide variety of media including digital, acrylic and watercolor.

I love being able to visualize stories in the small details. With my background in Urban Sketching, I love catching the subtle elements of life that make them intimate. I visualize the data we capture with our eyes and hearts so that we all can see and relate to diffrent situations.

Angela earned her BFA in Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology.

She also has studied in London where she first discovered Urban Sketching as she backpacked around Europe.

About the lesson

While working with a new student, I start with an introduction to the basics. For example, If I am teaching them to urban sketch, we will begin by looking at other artist's work, go over the definition and then begin with simple drawing techniques. After I get a gage of how advanced my student is, I will customize my lesson plan to them.
