About Stacy

My primary focus is 3D modeling for 3D printing and animation. My educational background includes fine art, interior architecture, graphic arts, and 3D modeling. My technical background combines with my artistic background will help me to teach you how to create complex and beautiful things.

I love being able to create pretty much anything me or my clients can come up with. I love the variety in my work. One day I could be working on a product prototype and the next I might be working on a movie accurate reproduction of the Wonder Woman armor.

It all started with friends. One friend wanted to improve his drawing skills, so we worked on that. Another, who works in a library where they got a 3D printer needed help modifying 3D models. I taught her a few basics in the free programs that she had access to. I prefer to do one on one lessons where I can answer any questions when they are asked.

I have a BFA in Interior Architecture from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and an MFA in Animation and Visual Effects with a concentration in 3D Modeling from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I am fully qualified to teach at the college level.

I spent some time creating digital stunt doubles for TV and movies and now I own my own 3D printing and design business.

About the lesson

I like to begin by assessing their general skill level within the area they are looking for instruction. For drawing anf painting, we will go over the supplies they will need and the desired medium. For 3D modeling, they kind of equipment and software that will be best. From there, we will discuss their goals and what their final project will be so I can figure out what we need to do to get them there successfully.
