About Zoee

I am a teacher of drawing, conceptual, and digital art classes.

I have been surrounded by art my whole life with over ten years of combined education and experience.

So, I know that the field of visual arts is endless and sometimes overwhelming.

However, no matter their background anyone can learn the fundamentals of “art” as a way of expression.

Trained in illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design, I am now here help you grow and become confident in yourself.

Anyone. Can. Be. An. Artist.

Remember simply: practice makes perfect.

As a guide I provide honest and industry-based critique with the purpose of encouraging others and bringing them to their best.

There will be no kept secrets.

I will share with you all of the knowledge that I can!

I keep a strong philosophy that knowledge should be shared. Seeing others find inspiration is what drives me.

During college I taught drawing classes at a local gallery. Seeing others gain confidence from my lessons sparked my desire to continue sharing my knowledge.

I am very proud to be a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design and to add that I taught middle school art classes for two years in Florida based upon my degree.

About the lesson

The process begins with an overview of your work up to this point. A rough “portfolio” review, if you will.

Once I’ve gauged your level of “understanding” we can develop a system that works for you.

If you’re newer we will start with the elements and principles of design that I find the most important. Line, shape, color, and value.

If your talent goes beyond we’ll jump into your purpose and intention as an artist and find out what needs to lead you.

It is important to have an idea of your biggest inspirations and influences for your body of work. If you don’t have anything I’ll help you find it as we go along.

There may, or may not be a lot of reading involved.

Adults and children alike.

Know that practice truly makes perfect. You must be willing to take in every instructor’s advice and to try again even in the toughest situations. A teacher shares knowledge, but it will be up to you to act upon it.

This first lesson offered with Zoee will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

Details

You will be providing your own materials.

I will provide mine.

My rates stand as follows:

30 minutes, 1-2 attendees - $15

1 hour, 1-2 attendees - $25

If more than 2 students shall join the lesson there is a $10 dollar charge per extra attendee (for both half, and full hour lessons).

If I am driving to my students: to-and-from there is a $1 charge per mile I must travel.

We can discuss the way of payment before we begin. Paypal is an avaliable option.

Payment must be received before every lesson. In order to recieve a refund for appointment cancelations I require at least one full day's notice prior.
