About Brittney

I graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2017. I have been a 3rd grade teacher for the past 5 years and have a passion for seeing my students set and reach their goals, feel confident in their educational abilities and make growth in subject areas specific to what they need.

I was once a struggling student who went to math tutoring multiple times a week. It not only helped me improve my grades, but made me feel capable of handling the more challenging math that came along in the future.

If you are, or have a struggling child, I would love to partner with you to help your child in any elementary academic area.

I love seeing my students love learning a skill, content area or subject that they once found difficult. It's amazing to see the confidence that a child has when they have reached a goal and knows they are successful. It's so rewarding.

I have my bachelors in Early Childhood Education and have been teaching 3rd grade for the past 5 years.

About the lesson

I like to give initial assessments to see where a student may have gaps in their learning. It's important to fill those gaps before moving on. This leads to a solid academic foundation. Getting to know a child and having a solid relationship, based on mutual respect, is also key. Education is a team effort.

I have mostly worked with 3rd grade students, but taught summer school for 1st and 2nd grade and did my student teaching in Preschool. I'm all over the map!

I would look for a teacher that takes the time to get to know you, cares about your growth and tailors the teaching methods to what is best for the student.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I don't believe that students should have to think through anything. If they are struggling, then it's our job to help them learn and grow. I would never want a student to hesitate to ask me a question.
