About Ayesha
I applied at a private school in Rawalpindi. I also began teaching online while I was in lockdown.
I studied English Language in A levels and graduated with a degree in English literature and Linguistics from Fatima Jinnah Women University. I have worked as a subsititute teacher at a private school in their international Bacchalaureate program for six momnths. I also have experience in teaching online during the pandemic internationally and locally on sites like Parhailikhai, Fiverr and Teacherly.

I begin by interacting with the student in a friendly manner and ask questions in order to break the ice. I ask them what they feel are their strenghts and weaknesses and what they would like me to help them with. Through this we also establish a repertoir and I am able to single out their specific needs. the next step is to plan the lessons in accordance to the information I have gathered so far in a amnner that each session results in the student learning something substantial. I* also encourage taking chances and create an environment where the student may never feel judged for making mistakes.
I have worked with 7 year olds, highschool ages and students in their 20s.
Be patient with yourself, the English language can be very complicated at times, but once you get the hang of a few basic unspoken rules, you're good!
A boy was having trouble multiplying and feeling dejected. I sat with him for an hour and through patience and kindness helped him figure it out at his own pace. eventually he solved a problem on his own and his eyes lit up with excitement. He began to solve more problems enthusiastically. It was a lovely moment that I will always cherish.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Questions like how much time would it take realistically for them to see an improvement in their skills. Whether it would be a safe space to make mistakes.
