About Amber

Ever since I was little, I only wanted to be a teacher. But don't get me wrong... this doesn't mean that I did not struggle. In elementary school, I was pulled out for extra help in reading and math. Fast forward to college, I graduated with many awards including Outstanding Intern, Magna Cum Laude (overall GPA), Psi Chi (GPA in Psychology), and Kappa Delta Pi (GPA in Education). What I always tell parents and students is to take whatever is offered! Any help can change the lives of students because of their confidence and motivational boosts!

Before becoming a teacher, I was an aide in pre-k and kindergarten as I finished college. I was then hired at the same school to teach 1st grade! Since then I have tutored all grades from pre-k to 6th. I have also completed my Masters degree in Literacy! To start my teaching career I was a teachers assistant in pre-k and kindergarten while I finished my Psychology and Education Degrees. Quickly after graduating, I landed a first grade position as the very same school that I went to! Just this year (2021), I completed my Masters in Literacy. I am ready to assist in all elementary subject areas with the materials I have made!

About the lesson

The first day that we meet will be the time where we get to know each other and make sure we will be a great fit together! I will ask the student about them and see where they are academically, as well as find their interests.

I have worked with students from all elementary grades (pre-k all the way to 6th).
