Mrs. French was my 1st and 2nd grade teacher nearly 8 years ago. She always came up with new and fun activities for us to do in class. She made sure that her students understood the concept before moving forward so that no student was struggling. Her classroom was very structured and it was obvious that she cared about her students learning.

Mrs. French always had high expectations of her students and supported us while working towards our goals. She made me love reading; even today I can't go anywhere without a book. I enjoyed when she read aloud to us and when she had us work in small groups on different things. In math she gave us many different ways to work through our problems (blocks, coins, number charts, counters and clocks). She often had us work together during math class and come to an answer as a group.

Mrs. French was definitely one of my favorite teachers in elementary school and I still like to visit and chat with her when I get the chance.
