About Troy
Well, I have taught martial arts since 2004 and have been recognized as an Instructor in Training by Vladimir Vasiliev recently. So I am a certified Systema Instructor for the Denver metro area. I was also awarded as an Instructor for Silat Zulfikarri/Aneh Palu Kali Silat and Weaselcraft by Terry Trahan. I will soon be recognized as an official JKD/PFS instructor for Denver by Jesse Rangel by way of Paul Vunak. I was also recognized as a Trenel in Capoeira Angola by Mestre Caboclinho Aruanda and TABCAT. I have also been certified to teach Combatives by the ISCQC. I was also awarded permission to teach MMA from Moises "Dagon Machida" Santana.
Essentially, I am the Denver Systema Instructor and I am also passionate about real life training. I am a firm believer in the congruency of training plus I do believe that there are things in Combatives that are easy to learn but hard to master. I love the Martial Arts(and I mean all of them) I draw a lot of ideas from any or all(depending on what I can find) systems. I have found parallels from Capoeira to Systema.
I enjoy building and creating a Warrior.

I love to witness the process and growth. I prefer to see the beginners go from a completely uncoordinated or incapable fighter to a full blown fighter with the wisdom/discipline to master their lives.
Well, I worked as an assistant teacher for MMA in my teens and later in Capoeira after a year. So it all started as part of my own personal process. However, it wasn't until 2004 when i worked as an assistant for my first Capoeira Mestre At the Nzhinga Shule Ngola.
I have been training in martial arts(counting Boxing, Wrestling and archery) since i was 8. I have done some sort of martial arts training from being a dummy or teaching in almost everything i could find.

At first I want to see exactly where they are at. Everybody is different so I want to work with their abilities.
Women from multiple walks of life, swat police/private security owners, ex military and newly enlisted military, bouncers, children, the elderly, and handicapped.
Look for experience or whom they have worked with. Don't look at trophies, belts, or dojo affiliations. Ask them questions listen for war stories. Also, they can't or shouldn't take themselves too seriously either.
Getting recognized by Vladimir Vasiliev this was my most recent. Another was meeting and training with the founder of Libre and Piper.
Of course, working and training with my brother Terry Trahan.

Details
Generally, because commitment is difficult i usually charge 20.00 per lesson or 100 per month for private lessons at my home. If travelling to your home the price goes up by 10.00.
Prices will change when I get a place due to overhead rates.
