About Kofi
I have over 15 years of experience in mixed martial arts. I competed in over 30 karate and kickboxing/muay thai tournaments. I have been a mixed martial arts coach for the last 7 years. I have trained with some professional fighters and helped some amateur fighters prepare for fights. In the last 5 years, I've trained over 1500 people in boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts. I can have you be the better version of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.
I started training students because so many women were getting attacked by strangers at Cal State University Dominguez Hills when I was a student in 2013. I gave free self defense training to women so they can be able to protect themselves. From there. I was encourage by faculty and other students on campus to offer my services to others in the community.
I have 15 years of experience of muay thai, 5 years of experience in mixed martial arts and 12 years of experience in boxing.
I competed in karate and muay thai tournaments
I have a M.A. in Cultural Studies and B.A. in Africana Studies
I earned and recieved my nutrition certification in 2012 from El Camino College
I served four years in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge.

My typical process for working with a new student/client is to evaluate them on their first session, set short and long term goals and create a nutrition plan so they can see results. I want each student to take what they learn and continue to improve daily.
I worked with children, teenagers, adults and elders.
My advice to a student/client who is looking to hire a teacher is to make sure the cost is affordable before investing into anything that will benefit them.
I helped train a professional muay thai fighter for a fight in 2016. I also helped a client lose 80 lbs, become vegan and learn how to become a better fighter. I still train myself and spar with colleagues who are preparing for upcoming fights.

Perfect! My first lesson was excellent! Kofi is a professional who really knows his stuff and instructs at your level. I love the park setting, and I met another student when I arrived who was just wrapping up her lesson who's been training with Kofi for two years.
