About Terry

I trained and competed for a very long time. At some point I sustained a serious shoulder injury and took time out due to not being able to compete. After walking into a martial arts studio to begin training again I was asked to instruct and have been doing it since.

25 years of experience training in Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Ninjutsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kali, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts. Became a champion kickboxer in 2013-2015 Currently the Kumite and fighting instructor at United Kempo Karate Schools.

About the lesson

First upon receiving interest, we invite them to try a couple of no obligligation classes. Afterwards, if we're a good fit we determine eligibility for financial aid through our nonprofit organization and get the student assigned to an instructor and begin their training.

Children with behavior and/or self esteem issues, Teenagers looking to learn how to defend themselves, and individuals looking to enter competition.

If offered the opportunity to try a class, do so. It is the best way to determine whether or not the environment suits you.

My last Professional Karate Commission National Championship event in 2014. I didn't win due to breaking my foot but I came in second at nationals so that was a huge accomplishment to me.

First off when I say I love this school, That’s what I mean !! I have been going about a month now and it has already saved my life , My Mental , physical and Health is better , I feel better spiritually, the first day I entered United Kempo Karate school just looking for information I loved the energy & positive vibes. BUT I have give a SHOUT OUT TO MR. TERRY !!! I like how my Teacher break down EVERY detail and explain how it’s used and gives background to understand why it’s used. Terry is great with the kids. He teaches them as they practice and they all lan very quickly on the go with his methods. Don't y let the belt color fool you, he's much more skilled than that shows. And the kids love his lessons!

The teachers are very hands on with the kids and older students as well. They're excellent at bringing timid kids out of their shells.
