About Benjamin
I am able to assist anyone from beginner to expert improve their martial arts and self-defense skills. Whether you are just starting martial arts or have been training for years, need sparring pointers, competition/form ideas, weapons training or just feel stuck in a plateau and need something fresh, I am here to guide you. If you are interested in earning belts in my system "Armor of God," I am happy to share the training materials with you, along with providing private virtual lessons on the content required for belt advancement. The journey is worth it, but you have to take the first step!
I have always loved sharing my passion with others. I've seen what the martial arts and self-defense training can do for my own confidence and overall health. It really changes your mind, body and spirit for the better. So, I want to teach others to discover the same. I always tell my students, "I'm not showing you how to punch and kick, I'm showing you YOU."
I started training in martial arts at the age of 8, and has never looked back. I have almost 3 decades of experience and currently hold the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt. I am internationally certified to teach multiple styles of martial arts, self-defense systems and weapons. My experience includes Shotokan Karate, Hupkwondo/Tae Kwon Do, Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Traditional Wing Chun, Chinese Kenpo Karate, Phoenix Ninpo Ryu and Bujinkan Ninpo Taijutsu. In 2018, I created a system called "Armor of God Self-Defense" which I currently teach via group class, seminar and private instruction.

I always begin by getting a feel for their history and their goals. I customize the training directly to the student's personality and goals. If the student wishes to train for a great workout, I can do that. If they want to learn to protect yourself and others, I can do that too. This is about them, not me.
I have taught all ages and experience levels over the years, in commercial schools, businesses and churches. I've taught police officers to doctors, children to retirees, you name it.

Details
I typically charge $30 for a 30 minute session, $45 for a 45 min session or $60 for an hour session. I provide discounts if a student books more than one session at a time. I am ALWAYS willing to work with anyone on pricing, because everyone deserves the opportunity to train!
