About Lauren
I believe my service stands out because when working with a new kid I really take time to get to know how they learn. I love teaching and when working with students I want nothing more than for them to succeed. I am always willing to change the way I teach to fit the student's needs.
I absolutely love working with kids and helping them learn and explore new things! It so amazing to see that lightbulb go off when they understand something for the first time after struggling to get it.
I am an elementary education major at NC State. I have experience working with and tutoring kids ages five to 13, including children with special needs such as Down syndrome and autism.

When working with a new student it is important for me to get to know them, and how they learn best. I will see how I can make learning enjoyable and fun!
I would want to tell them to find what works for them. I would tell them to not be discouraged when schoolwork gets tough.
I have been tutoring a little girl in math and reading since she was in kindergarten and watching her grow into the brilliant third grader she is today has been such an amazing experience! Seeing how much she has improved since we started working together has been incredible.
