About Yahya

I am a college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a double concentration in statistics and actuarial science. During my time in school I worked as a tutor and Teacher Assistant. I have ample experience in education and I will enhance your skills and confidence in any level of mathematics.

I am passionate about math. I have always loved it since Elementary school, I enjoy bringing other people into my passion and giving them the help they need so they don't have to be afraid or dread having to take a math class. I love when I see a student have a "a-ha" moment, and knowing that I got them there is the best feeling.

I started tutoring in Highschool for free. Once I got to college I charged for tutoring sessions and worked as a teacher's assistant where I created lesson plans, taught classes and graded assignments. I also worked with an organization where we conducted research and developed creative techniques to help students gain more confidence and appreciate for math.

About the lesson

We will need to first gain perspective of your level of understanding. Once we do that, we'll go over your goals as a student. Having a clear understanding of where you are will help me put you on track.

I have worked with all students of all levels; from elementary school students to graduate school level.

Make sure you pick someone you can relate to and you can be comfortable with. This is the best way to make sure you get the most out of your sessions.
