About Do

I love math. I love understanding, sharing, and applying it. I had experience with different type of students. I was once a student that struggle with math. But now I have finished my PhD in math from Duke University. I understand that different people have different perspectives of looking at a problem and that every perspective has its strengths and weaknesses. I am happy to discuss your strength and advance it to help you reach your goal. I did it, and I know you would, too.

As an instructor, what I love the most is to help students use their own idea to solve their problems. I understand how important it is to solve your problem using your own ideas. In addition, as a mathematician, I understand that every ideas has its own value. That is why I love helping students develope their ideas to solve their problems.

I had 2 years of experience as a tutor and teaching assistant when I was an undergraduate student. During my PhD study at Duke, I had 5 years of ecperience as an instructor as well as a teaching assistant and a tutor.

About the lesson

I would first understand my students strength and weakness including their ways of thinking, learning and working. I would then help my student to evaluate their goals and figure out a road to get to the goals. Both goals and the plan will be updated as students progress.

I have worked with high school students, average and advanced college students. I have helped students to improve their grades by at least one letter grade. Perhaps more importantly, I have helped my students gained and regained their confidence in math.

Math is about different ideas and perspective of looking at a problem. Find a high level tutor, they will help you see the value in your ideas and your perspective eventhough other teachers may think otherwise. You will learn more than just solving computational problems.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Not very much, really. Just be honest, a good teacher will help you find a road to reach your goal.
