About Jordan
I am in my last semester of earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from a top 10 university with a heavy mathematic background. I offer the ability to teach students in a way that encourages students and creates true confidence in their knowledge of the subject. I have spent many many years studying to earn my degree and I understand the struggle of not understanding the material in a class. I am here to provide friendly assistance to your questions and concerns.
I have acheived my level of knowledge and success in my career from many teachers along the way. I enjoy being able to pass my knowledge to a student in need who has the desire to learn.
I started teaching in high school when my engligh teacher asked if anyone was capable of tuturing her son in Geometry. I volunteered for the job and it was a very fulfilling experience for me to help a student and watch him have success from my teaching.

First I look to understand the student and the problems that they are having with their subject so I can offer the best help. Second, I help the student learn a repeatable process to be used for any future problem. Understanding the material and the process is more important than a correct answer. The best way to learn is through repeated example problems.
I have worked with studends of all ages and skill levels rangeing from high school and secondary school to University students.
Find a tutor that teaches a process and a strategy that can be followed and applied to any problem. Different people learn by making different connections. Make sure your tutor understand how you learn best. Whether it is more in depth lessons of theory or more practice examples.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be aware of their needs and the things that they are having trouble with understanding. This will allow the needs of the student to be communicated clearly to the tutor resulting in the tutor understanding if they are qualified for the job.

Jordan should have just taken over for my calculus professor. I learned so much more from him in a session and he gave me confidence going into my exams. His hours were flexible when my busy college schedule was not.
Jordan was very helpful with answering my Calculus questions. He provided me with many examples that allowed me to learn how to apply the concepts from class to any problem. Communicating with him over Skype worked well for me because we were able to arrange meetings around my busy schedule.
