About Cressa
Cressa has been working as a math tutor since 2007 when she got a position in her college math tutoring center at University of Utah, where she was a dance major and math minor. Since then she has worked as a math tutor and teacher in New York City and Philadelphia before moving to Eugene. She has experience working with students at alternative schools as well as rigorous private schools, and with students with learning disabilities such as slow processing, autism, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. She also has experience working with very artistic students. She aims to meet students where they are at, helping them both understand the concepts and recover from fear of math or failure. She now works for a research project in the College of Ed at UO about equity in high school computer science education.

Details
I charge a sliding scale. When you contact me, I will suggest a range based on what I believe my services are worth for the given work and location. I ask that you select an amount in that range that you feel is appropriate for you, and we will call that our official hourly rate. That said, I am not attached to a particular rate. If you feel the range I offer is above what you are able to pay, please let me know so that we can discuss your needs and work something out. What is most important to me is that your student is able to get the help they need.
I accept cash or check, and I can provide receipts if you like. We can discuss a payment method that works best for you, whether it is weekly, monthly, etc.
