About Kaitlyn
My tutoring stands out from the rest by the different catergories that I could help my students with. I could not only teach Chinese for the ones who want to learn, but I could also help with SAT math and other math subjects such as algebra, algebra 2, and pre-calculus. I love helping people understand the subjects that they are struggling with, and I am extremely positive and patient when my students face difficulties in their learning. I can guarantee that my students will have fun during my tutoring session. Some things you should know about me are that I am bilingual in Chinese and English. I received a 4 on my Chinese AP test and a 790 on SAT math test. To conclude, I am very passionate about learning math and teaching others how to advance their skills.
The parts of tutoring that I enjoy are helping others become successful in the areas that they are struggling with. Also, I like using my knowledge to help kids build their confidence.
I started tutoring during my junior year in high school. I helped other high school students practice for the SAT math.
Since I was born in Taiwan, I have 13 years of experience speaking in fluent Chinese. Because of this, I am equipped to tutor students in Chinese, whether, it's in writing or speaking. In additon, I have a lot experience with the SAT tests for example, I scored a 790 out of 800 on my SAT exam. Because I have great knowledge in different subjects of math, it is very easy for me to teach other students advanced math.

A typical process for when I work with a new student is to get to know the student's name and age before I start working with them. I prepare myself with the subjects that I need to tutor them in so the student gets the most out of the tutoring sessions. Next, I will ask the students how many days they need tutoring for and organize my schedule accordingly. I will provide my contact informations for the students to get in touch with me when needed. I will finally recommend any necessary materials the student should have on hand during the session.
I have worked with college students, high school students, and elementary children.
The advice I would give a student who is looking to hire a tutor, is to find a teacher who is well knowledgable in the subjects they need help with also I will make sure that the tutor is kind and patient when helping students. Finally, I will the student who is looking for a tutor to find a techer who is flexible with their time.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they don't understand and ask their tutors to help them in that certain area. In addition, students should think about how they can prepare before each session. For example, I like to start my classes right away, so I personally help my students what to have avaliable before class.

Details
I charge 20 dollars per hour for tutoring sessions. For ongoing students, I will decrease the price of tutoring session over time for example, when I have a student for over a year, I charge 18 dollars an hour instead of the original 20 dollars.
