About Holly
Hi, I'm Holly! I recently graduated from UCSB with a degree in Financial Math & Statistics. Like most college grads, I am currently in the phase of life where I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do, haha. I realized that I miss math a lot, and since I have a passion for helping others, math tutoring came to mind.
While in college, I tutored students in math as a side job. I also worked as a TA for an afterschool club at a local elementary school in Santa Barbara. Back in high school, I did some math tutoring and often found myself helping my friends with their math homework and studying for tests.
I love math, sometimes hate it in the moment, but the best feeling is finally figuring out the answer to a challenging problem. At times, it may feel impossible to learn a concept, but eventually it will make sense.

Holly was a great tutor for me, as someone who was easily embarrassed with the amount of knowledge I didn’t know she didn’t make me feel judged or dumb in any way. She clearly explained problems and if I didn’t understand she had no problem going over it again or taking in a different approach to better explain it to me. Not only is she a good tutor, she’s really nice and friendly. She created a comfortable environment to tutor me in, by far my favorite tutor.
