About Tiffany

Every student does not learn at the same pace as others and that is okay. I want my students to know that they have the capability to understand, even if it takes a little while. Patience is key and that is something I will give them every step of the way; not only to help them get a question right but to build their confidence as well.

I'm a substitute teacher and I've been subbing for two and half years in elementary schools. I've covered teachers in all grades, following their lessons plans, and I can tell you that my job is more than just babysitting. I have learned to instruct students in various subjects and show them how to solve different problems, how to read, how to write proper sentences, how to apply mathematical concepts, etc. Aside from subbing, I have also tutored elementary/middle school students at a homeless shelter. I really value education and love to see students living up their full potential.

About the lesson

I would introduce myself and then get to know a little bit more about him/her. Then as I get to learn about the concepts that they're struggling with I would talk to them about the lesson plans that I would put together. With each lesson I would go over problems and then have them do some on their own and I'll check it after. I would also incorporate visual aids if necessary.
