About Gretchen

Because I am young and still in college, I have a viewpoint that a lot of other tutors may not, the student viewpoint. I understand how young students think and I can provide guidance to make them more confident in the classroom!

I love tutoring/teaching as it is so rewarding to see my students understanding a concept, especially when they might have been struggling with it! I just love helping students see that math isn't so scary and that they are capable of completing harder tasks!

I am in my Senior year of my math degree and in Spring 2023 I will graduate and become a high school math teacher. I finish up everything except student teaching this Fall!

About the lesson

The first meeting will look very similar to a first day of school. We will go through introductions, get to know each other, make sure we are a good fit and then dive into what your goals are for having a tutor. Throughout our lessons, we will do many practice problems as I find practice to be the best way to learn!
