About Duncan

Students will receive teaching and lessons that are easy to understand and perfect for getting that grade you want in your school.

The instructor (me) is a current student at the University of California Irvine and is majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. I graduated my high school in the honors class with a GPA of 3.8 unweighted and 4.0125 weighted.

I love computers and video games so naturally, math is one of my strong suits.

I love seeing students improve in academics and grow as a person.

I was inspired to teach others because I myself am a learner and I want to be like the few teachers at my old school who made learning a fun and enjoyable experience.

I was a student at a school where the teachers had very polarizing teaching abilities. I've learned from both types of teachers and I believe I've taken the best from the best and learned from the worst. I was also a top-notch high school student and often studied with friends and others to learn.

Getting to know the student and how they learn is a key step in allowing them to learn efficiently. Following this, I will teach the student based on their style of learning by starting with basics and then making sure they've solidified the information.

I typically work with students that are younger than me and who take an interest in mathematics and learning in general. I also worked with high schoolers.

Look for a teacher who is passionate, knows how to teach, and has a deep understanding of their chosen subject.

I know it sounds weird but there was an earthquake where I lived recently that struck me while I was sleeping. I had never felt an earthquake before and it felt like everything under me was rolling. It was a funny experience for me.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Questions that seem like you should be able to figure out but cannot are ones that a student should think about before consulting a teacher. However, if you can tell there is new material, asking a teacher about it is no problem

I will admit that I am new to this business but I believe my quality of teaching is at least worth 10 dollars and hour.
