About Jabril

I have been interested in tutoring ever since I was out of college and now that I work with children, the idea has become a reality. Currently I am a Registered Behavior Therapist and I work with clients to improve their cognitive, social, and school readiness skills among other things. I have been working for about 2 years and I can say I love what I do. Although I am new to actual tutoring, I help clients with their schooling from grades 5-8. I live in North Las Vegas with my wife and a new baby girl on the way! I'm excited to help the younger generation improve their math skills in order to increase their chances of success in school.

I started in a clinical setting working with adolescents and children.

The only training outside of my diploma is my RBT certification that allows me to work with children on the spectrum of autism. I help clients with their math comprehension during the session.

About the lesson

Starting out, I make introductions and ask questions about what it is they need help with. I break the ice with soft ball questions to test their current knowledge. Also what areas in school they are currently working on so that I can develop an understanding of what material to cover.

I have worked with children from the ages of 5-19 and all of them were on the spectrum in some way.

Find someone who is patient and willing to take the time to make sure you understand. It's not about memorizing, it's about effectively learning so that you will know and retain the information for years to come.

I recently found out I'm going to be a girl dad so I am very fond of the idea of becoming a new father.

Details

I would like to start out with $30/hour and when I build up enough clientele it may range anywhere from $30-$60- an hour. Also it will depend on the type of lessons we will be doing. The more difficult the material the higher the cost per lesson.
