About Mackenzie

Tutoring enables the student to have someone sit with them and help them learn a subject according to their needs.

I have two years worth of experience in tutoring college students in all grade levels. I have tutored all kind of students, from students with learning disabilities to students who speak English as a second. And from all of these special people I have learned one thing: We all have our struggles but anytime someone is dilligent in their education, they will accomplish great things. It is my goal to make every student see that side of themselves.

I worked at the Tarrant County College Math and Physics Learning Center for two years. During this time I earned Associates degree of Mathematics.

About the lesson

First, I like to sit down with the student and have them tell me about how much of the subjest/concept they understand. If they don't understand any of it, that is just fine. I do this, so that we can start tackling exactly what they need rather than me boring them or wasting their time explaing what they already know.

Second, I want to figure out what kind of learner they are. Visual? Auditory? Kinesthetic? Or reading/writing? Again this is so that our time together is a benefit to the student.

After establishing these two things, we can move forward with the session in an efficient manner.
