About Emily

I am an independent math tutor located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I have 3 kids in middle and in high school that all used to struggle in math, and I have helped them for the past few years. I have college experience all the way up through calculus 1, and I love teaching people the beauty of the subject. I understand that sometimes it takes multiple ways of explaining how to figure out solutions to problems and I will do my best to teach from all angles if need be.

I just have a love for helping people, whether it be helping to save your life or helping to save your grade. I have 3 stepsons that all struggled in math before they met me. Now they come to me with any questions they have and I feel great seeing their faces light up when they understand the lessons.

I am a current college student that has completed through calculus 1. I'm an Emergency Medical Services major and plan to go back for another major in Mathematics and Chemistry.

About the lesson

I want to get to know you and how you typically learn in a classroom settin . What works best? What do you wish you had in class that would help you learn better? I'm flexible and will do what I can to dotwhat helps you best. If we need to adjust after a while, we can do that too. As long as at the end of our time, you understand the lesson.

I have worked with my stepsons and I've also helped fellow classmates in the past.

My starting price is $25 an hour, if I am tutoring more than one student at a time, there will be an additional al $5 an hour per extra student.
